Of all the Carringtons and Colbys, probably least is known about Lauren Colby. She was born in 1987 in California to Jeff and Fallon Colby.

Fallon's pregnancy with Lauren was a difficult one, both emotionally and physically. Emotionally, Fallon worried over the baby's parentage. Was the baby her husband Jeff's, or his brother Miles'? (Miles had raped Fallon.) Physically, the baby developed RDS (respiratory distress syndrome). Both Fallon and the baby survived, and Fallon named her baby Lauren Colby (later she added Constance to her name in honor of Jeff's aunt who had just perished). Tests were made, and it was revealed that Jeff was indeed Lauren's father.

Later that year, Lauren and her family moved to Denver, then after a few years, back to California. She is close to her brother L.B., cousin Danny, and sees Krystina as a sister.

Still young, Lauren is just developing a personality of her own. However, we can glean a few tidbits from the way she reacts to things. For example, she seems to have a better relationship with her uncle Miles than with her uncle Adam Carrington. Who knows, perhaps Lauren is most at home with the Colbys of California.
