The Excelsior is a hotel purchased by Dominique Deveraux in 1986. In 1987, she sold it to Zach Powers in order to pull her brother out of financial ruin.
Establishing shots came from the St. Regis Hotel (former Westin Century Plaza Tower) - 2055 Avenue of the Stars, Los Angeles The hotel has been demolished some years ago and replaced by a new building.
