Plot Overview[]

Due to political turmoil in the Middle East, Blake and Krystle had to cut short their honeymoon. Denver-Carrington has significant investments tied up in the region, including six oil tankers. Back in Denver, Blake and his lawyers are attempting to resolve the crisis. Krystle wants to help out, but Blake doesn't need her assistance. For her part, Fallon will do anything to aid her father - and hurt his marriage to Krystle if possible. So Fallon suggests Blake invite Matthew Blaisdel at the mansion. Instead of trying to sabotage Matthew and Walter's business directly, Blake should get them to relinquish their leases. Andrew Laird (Blake's attorney) understands that if Fallon proposes inviting Matthew, it is not solely to assist Blake. It is also a tactic to compel Krystle to meet Matthew again.

Dynasty4A

Krystle is quite unhappy that Blake invited Matthew to the mansion. But more is upsetting her right now. How can she be mistress of the house when Joseph and the rest of the staff largely ignore her requests. She tells Blake who decides to handle it immediately. Blake assembles the staff and berates them while reminding them Krystle is not expendable like them. To prove it, he fires the gardener for not bringing flowers to the bedroom as Krystle asked. Krystle didn't want the gardener fired, but Blake assures her he will rehire him the next day. Thus, the staff will think Blake is harsh but fair.

Dynasty4B

Matthew surprises Claudia with a car but she doesn't feel ready to drive yet. Claudia forces him to admit he dislikes being married to a mental patient. She overcomes her fear and drives to the rig to surprise Matthew with lunch. He's not there, but Steven Carrington is. Claudia and Steven immediately connect.

After Claudia's departure, Steven goes to the bar where Matthew, Walter and the men are. Matthew is having a hard time to convince them to keep working the rig despite difficulty paying them. The men are about to quit but Steven intervenes and says he will work with Matthew. A fight breaks out between Steven and a rig worker, and though beaten up, Steven now has a job at Matthew and Walter's rig.

Dynasty4C

When Steven tells his father he's working with Blake's ennemy, Blake is furious and humiliates Steven in front of Krystle.

Knowing her father is facing serious trouble, Fallon decides to ignore Michael's jealousy and ask Cecil Colby to meet her. She wants him to help Blake. While Cecil enjoyed their one-night stand, he has no interest in pursuing a relationship. Actually, he wants Fallon to pursue a relationship with his nephew. So he proposes her a bargain : Cecil will aid Blake if Fallon marries Jeff Colby.
